Hi Charlie;
I just recently became acquainted with your exploits when I saw "Running the Sahara" on the Showtime network. I am a member of the running community in Flint, Michigan. Though not in your class I certainly gained inspiration and confidence fom seeing what you and your friends put yourself through by pushing your mind and body to new limits. I think that is what running is all about. I am 55 and have only been running for a little over 3 years but it has changed my life for the better. I have finished 3 full marathons and am currently training for a 4th. I wish I had known of your run across American sooner because I would have loved to run with you for a while. I wish you good luck on your next venture and we in Flint will be watching. Thanks!! -Jerry

My first book report was on Walk across America in 5th grade.
You are an inspiration and your passion and discipline is admired. The fast food generation has a gimme gimme attitude and no need for self control. Let this documentary inspire others to fight for something more. Battle the slothful, lazy, tv couch sitting demons in this world...get out and sweat. Feel the pride in a good run !!! It will be my goal to achieve your record within 3 years but for now - again thank you for your passion and inspiration to run AGAIN.

It was so gratifying to spend three days on Marshall's running crew, to witness his extraordinary and historic feat. And, to see the energy and competence of Dr. Paul, Kate and the entire entourage in action under very difficult and fast-evolving circumstances made the experience for me all the more remarkable. The film will have its own particular purpose and perspective, but if it comes close to expressing the emotional impact and reflecting the immense difficulty of this adventure, a few people I know might just be taking a walk down a certain red carpet. Congratulations, Marshall and friends!

Go get'em Charlie...in the RW photo, you look like you're wearing an original Oxysox from 2000 when we started the company...are you wearing Oxysox? We're thrilled with your success and we'd be glad to send you samples that will help you recover quicker. Happy Trails, Bill Kennis

To all the production crew, runners crew, and N.Y. support team. I would like to thank you all for making Running America possible. Without all your help and support it would have been impossible for me to reach the end. You have all allowed me to explore my limits and to be humbled. I have learned much from this journey and have much more to learn. One thing is for sure, my appreciation for the little things in life have come to the forefront. And to Heather, the love of my life--you were always there for me and you never lost faith in me. When there was nothing left your undying faith carried me through. I love you all and for what you have given to me. Running America proved to me much more than I could have imagined.

It was such a pleasure to meet the film crew and chat with them by the elevator in Sheldon, Illinois. Yes, I still fly the American flag(s) as proudly as did my father before me. On the front porch and on my John Deere lawn tractor as I cruise around the village! The ministry given to me to care for the farmers/drivers with coffee and lunches was completed this week. I have been so richly blessed over the past 6 weeks to be a part of the living history of this great nation by serving the farmers through the harvest season-literally from my back yard. I hope each of you as you relect on your journey also found peace and happiness at the completion of Running America "08. Isn't our country just magnificent!
