Marshall, you've had 3 days now to relax and bask in all that glory. That's about enough down time, don't you think, unless of course you WANT to go soft on us...

So, what's next? Whatever it is, sign me up, will you?

Spectacular feat, my friend! What an honor to have been on the road with you those three days.

Very best regards to you, Heather, Paul, Kate and Brian,

Marsh,

One final quote to the guy who has inspired me more so than anyone I've ever met in my life. This came from Runners World today!

"The man who can drive himself further once the effort gets painful is the man who will win."

I have no friggin idea how you completed that journey, but you did, and lived to tell about it! I hope we meet again!

Go dog!

Marshall and Heather:

A postscript to your amazingly successful journey.

Just saw you, the lovely and radiant Heather and family photos at the finish line. Man you really look strong. Good to see your warm an fuzzy smile that everyone just loves.

Oh, yes, Chris Frost tells me that you are going to speed walk the zillion stairs inside the Empire State Building today? He believes you probably could use a tad more hill training.

Ha! What does he know? I told him you were really going to do some Big Apple sight-seeing by running the New York City Marathon course. Makes more sense to me.

If you two happen to be in the MT Whitney, Lone Pine area in the next few months (before Badwater), maybe we could have a celebration bash at the Seasons Restaurant (dinner and one beer, well, maybe two or three or... should do it), with all your West Coast friends and fans.......Ben and Denise, Phil and Kari, Rick Nawrocki, Chris Frost and Anna, Lisa Bliss and the Batchen's, Christine and Art (that's me) and others.

Just a (good) thought.

And, you don't have to climb the mountain, either. Well, if you insist, we will do that too, or, maybe, just fun run the Badwater course, or do a serious double. Gads!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the last fifty-two days and the honor to take a peek into your steel determination, over the top tenacity and mind boggling daily mileage as you trekked across this beautiful country.

Inspirational!! Well, the lovely Christine told me now that Marshall has finished, I have to get off my duff, move away from the comfort zone of this computer and go chase the dream I have always had. And, it is all your fault. Yeah!!!

One last kudo (or two): magnificent, extraordinary, amazing, inspirational, a more than impressive record breaking performance and much, much more........... WELL DONE.

Go Marshall !!!! Oops, I guess you can stop now.

A huge hug to you and Heather.

Love from Christine and Art

Marshall, congratulations on so many levels. What a feat in mind over matter and pure physical ability. I think you've earned whatever vacation you may have planned. tc

Marshall, it was a great pleasure meeting you last night and being part of your "flock" for the last few miles of your epic journey. Congrats again to you, and to all of the wonderful people who helped you make your dream a reality. I'm sure that the steps of City Hall felt like a featherbed to you after all of those miles on your feet. Revel in the accomplishment, my good man. May peace and love be with you always.....
Most sincerely,
~Todd Jennings~
