“Marshall has completed practically 9 miles today meaning he has less than 100 miles left to finish at the court house steps in new York city sometime tomorrow November 4th.

A day of some mixed emotions for Marshall. He had to say goodbye to Dr Paul Langevin who has been holding him together during the run. Doing just a fantastic job for him. Will be sad to see him go but we’re glad that he could join us and that he’s heading back to his wife and children.

Happy and exciting news today is that Elaine, Marshall’s oldest daughter is still here crewing and his son Taylor arrived and is also out here to crew and his dear friend Mark Macy also arrived and is running with Marshall right now. Marshall’s youngest daughter Allie also arrived in New York City and is with her aunt.

Thanks for checking in.”

  1. Marsh,

“I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious”

    Vince Lombardi

Any estimate (within 3-4 hours) of when you think you’ll get to the courthouse? Or maybe you can put it on this site tomorrow morning, I’l check tomorrow in New York.

    See ya tomorrow dog!

  5. I see Marshall is now due north of another great champion, former heavyweight boxing champion Larry Holmes of Easton PA. They’re about the same age, but I’d like Marshall in any running competition between the two (and would admittedly like Larry in any boxing competition between the two).

Just a little ways away from New Jersey, the final frontier. Then New York City and celebration around the world for a f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c achievement!

    Goooooooo!

  7. Marshall:

Ditto to all the comments today.

    Plus,

“The man who can drive himself further once the effort gets painful is the man who will win.”

    —–Roger Bannister—–

    It’s unanimous……YOU ARE THE WINNER…..

Kudos, high fives and hugs to the lovely Heather and the rest of the crew for remaining steadfast and holding this thing together. They may have had the tougher chore.

That blazing, blinding light at the end of the tunnel is the bittersweet finish line.

    Go Marshall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Today all my clients were in awe of you Marshall. I have, as I told you before, used your achievement to get them going in classes, and PT-sessions. So we all send you good luck for the last miles. Great, great job.

  11. I’m excited for your finish Marshall, this is really inspiring.

Can you please post an estimate tomorrow of when he’ll arrive at City Hall? I’m keeping my schedule free all day so that I can be there to wait.
